Today the DiGRA 2007 ended with a nice Game Design Workshop held by the IGDA Edu SIG, which was great event. I never tried to change a boardgame so this was totally new for me and it made a hell lot of fun.  I also had my talk today and it went all well, like always i talked much to fast so i only used 10 of my 20 minutes, have to practices there. But i got a good response from the audience and two teachers from game design courses are interested in my project, so i will talk to them later. This is a great motivation boost for me. Now im going on holidays for two weeks and im planning on traveling through Japan, dont know if i have internet there, but i hope so.

I will visit the MetaRheinMainChaosDays110b this weekend and hold there my talk i will give at the DiGra2007 as a test for me. There will be a much smaller audience and the talk is in german, so a bit easier for me, but a good training. 9 days until my flight to japan, im getting a bit nervous now, but its normal, i hope:) . If my new laptop arrives this week, i will have it with me in japan so i can post all news here. Im will try to write a conference coverage, if i find time during the trip.

Right now im trying to get a Hotel for my first 10 days in japan,  its rather difficult to find a cheap hotel neat the university where the conference will be. Uptil now 3 hotels where booked out and the rest i found was to expensive for me poor student. So i start looking for some hotel a bit away, hope i will find one or i sleep in the park^^.

With my work and the travel in my mind, i havnt found anytime for programming lately:(. Hope this will change after japan when i get motivated back to germany with tousand of new ideas, cause i havent touch a computer for 3 weeks. On my last trip home i finished the slides for tokyo, one problem solved.  For my last talk i made the slides 15 min before the talk started, this is not a good idea, they where crap.
